
Riffa, November 27, 2024/ His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), stressed the importance of the role played by the Faisal bin Khalid Talents Academy in discovering and refining promising talents to prepare a distinguished generation of athletes.
This came during HH Sheikh Khalid’s visit to the Faisal Bin Khalid Academy on Wednesday, in the presence of HH Sheikh Salman Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the General Sports Authority, HH Sheikh Isa Bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Olympic Committee, HH Sheikh Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalid Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Mr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, Mr. Faris Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee, and Mr. Mohammed Abdullatif Bin Jalal, President of the Bahrain Athletics Association.



His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa met with a number of old runners, praising the long career of the old stars and their achievements etched in the memory of the mother of Bahraini games. His Highness also watched a series of races, praising the talents hosted by the Faisal bin Khalid Academy for Athletics Talents and its prominent role in graduating a group of male and female players who achieved outstanding results in the International School Games hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain last October, where His Highness honored the champions and wished them further success in the world of athletics.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasized the importance of investing in young talents and developing them to achieve more achievements in the future, thus enhancing the status of Bahraini sports at the international level. His Highness praised the great role played by the Faisal Bin Khalid Academy for Talented Athletes in discovering and refining talented athletes, and commended the efforts of its officials in providing an ideal environment that contributes to preparing a promising generation of athletes capable of representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in various sports forums.




H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa added: “We are proud of the honorable achievements of our sons and daughters at the International School Games, which reflect the great work done by everyone. Honoring these champions is a tribute to their efforts and determination to achieve excellence and raise the Kingdom of Bahrain’s flag high in international forums. I was also pleased to meet the children of former sports stars, who represent an extension of a rich sporting legacy that carries with it inspiring stories of giving and success. We will continue to support all athletes, with a focus on building a promising generation of athletes that will contribute to achieving more qualitative achievements for Bahraini sports in general and athletics in particular.”
